This work is an investigation of the power of cinematic clichés in contemporary art practice. Slow pan shots across desolate ground with rising monotonic sound have become a standard in art circles - with accompanying high production costs - having been a standard in cinema for decades.
In this case, rather than bringing a mountain of production equipment to bear, the effect is produced live from a simple sculptural form with the gallery wall providing the ground for the landscape.
